Carolyn Murphy
Born on August 11, 1975, Murphy was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and grew up throughout Northwest Florida, spending most of her childhood in a trailer park in Panama City, Florida. At the age of 16, she was spotted by Mary Lou Nash, owner and operator of Mary Lou's Models, a modeling agency. Nash saw Murphy's potential and soon she was modeling in local ads and magazines throughout Florida and Alabama. After she graduated from Choctawhatchee Senior High School, Murphy moved to Milan to further her modeling career. Her career kicked into high-gear when she bleached her hair platinum blonde for a photo shoot, ruining her hair and causing it to fall out. Because of this she had to get a short hair cut which made her popular with many top photographers and soon she was in major magazines such as Harper's Bazaar and Vogue and was named VH1/Vogue's "Model of the Year" at the 1998 Fashion Awards. Murphy is featured on the cover of the 2005 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, as well as the 1999 cover of Vogue's "Models of the Millennium." She has also posed for the 2002 Playboy calendar. She is currently the face of Estée Lauder, replacing Elizabeth Hurley as the company's primary female spokesmodel. She also started an acting career with the role of "Dubbie the Blonde" in Barry Levinson's Liberty Heights in 1999.

Erin O'Connor
Erin O'Connor is a leading British supermodel. Born and brought up in the Midlands of England, she was spotted by a Models 1 scout at The Clothes Show in Birmingham. Her first published pictures were by Juergen Teller for a 1996 issue of i-D, and are credited with launching an ‘alternative concept of beauty’. O’Connor is noted for her angular, highly symmetrical profile and porcelain-pale complexion. She is synonymous with Charlotte Cotton’s notion of 'imperfect beauty' in 1990s fashion photography, and Karl Lagerfeld has described her as ‘a modern anti-beauty’. O’Connor has been associated with luxury labels from Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Armani, and Jean-Paul Gaultier. She has worked with many leading fashion photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Nick Knight, Mario Testino, David Sims, and Jonathan de Villiers, and featured in magazines including Vogue, W, Elle, Nova, Harper's Bazaar, Harper's & Queen, i-D, and Visionaire. Sasha Pivovarova
Born in Moscow, Russia, Pivovarova began modeling after a friend introduced her to modeling agency IMG. Her first show was Prada, and she went on to do the Fall 2005 campaign for the brand.
With her "doll-like" features, Pivovarova has been compared to the likes of fellow models Gemma Ward and Vlada Roslyakova. These same features make her one of the most wanted models today, appearing in fashion shows for brands such as Chanel, Valentino, and Gucci.
Along with modeling, Pivovarova should be noted for her interest in art. In a recent interview, she stated that "I love to draw...I want to be an artist".
More recently, Pivovarova has become the face of Prada for the 2nd season in a row.

Frankie Rayder
Francesca "Frankie" Rayder, born January 26, 1976 in River Falls, Wisconsin, is an American supermodel.
Growing up in River Falls, Rayder's interests did not originally lie in modeling. As a teenager, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, a large city close to her hometown, where she was first approached by a model scout who spurred her interest in the industry. Her first major success came in 1992, when she met photographer Steven Meisel. Attracted by Rayder's charisma, Meisel booked her for a photo session, which became the first of many. Rayder's first session were soon featured in the magazine Italian Glamour.
Following her success, Rayder traveled to Miami Beach, New York, Paris, London, and Milan, working for a number of agencies such as Company, Women Model Management, Page 305, City Models, Take Two, Storm, and Why Not. Her advertisement portfolio includes Givenchy, Valentino, Lagerfeld, Chanel, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, DKNY, The Gap, and Tommy Hilfiger. Rayder has also worked for designers such as Anne Klein, Matthew Williamson, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera, and Michael Kors, and appeared in a number of magazines, including Elle, Vogue, The Face, Photo, Harper's Bazaar, Allure, Rebel, and Marie-Claire. Other appearances for Rayder have been the Victoria's Secret fashion show from 2000 to 2002, and a cameo role in the movie Zoolander.

Ines Sastre
Born November 21, 1973, Valladolid, She is a Spanish supermodel and actress.
Sastre's career started at the age of 12, when she was selected for a fast-food commercial. Her first movie appearance occurred in 1987 in El dorado by Carlos Saura.
She studied at The Sorbonne in Paris, and in addition to Spanish, speaks French, English and Italian fluently.
In 1996, Sastre succeeded Isabella Rossellini as Lancôme's spokesmodel for its perfume, Trésor.
In 1997, she played the role of Francesca Babini in Italian director Pupi Avati's movie Il testimone dello sposo.
In 2000, Sastre achieved popularity in Italy as a presenter with Fabio Fazio at the Italian Music Festival di San Remo.

Molly Sims
Born May 25, 1973 in Murray, Kentucky) is an American supermodel and actress. Born to Jim and Dottie Sims, she was raised in Murray, Kentucky. Sims enrolled in Vanderbilt University for two years, but dropped out after a few dates with Langston Turner in 1993 to pursue a career in modeling. She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2000, 2001, and 2006 as well as MTV's House of Style. She is a Cover girl model. She also appears as Delinda Deline in the series Las Vegas.

Fernanda Tavares
Tavares was born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and she was appearing in local shows at the age of nine, and at just 13 she won the "Elite Look of the Year." A year later she was invited by agents to go to São Paulo to pursue a modeling career. In 1998, at the age of 17, she was already appearing on the covers of fashion magazines – L'Officiel Paris, Deutsch and U.S. Marie Claire and Vogue Paris – having signed up with the Marilyn Modeling Agency in both New York City and Paris. She would later go on to appear in numerous other popular magazines, including ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Allure, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Since 1998, Tavares has been walking down catwalks for the world's biggest designers, including Chanel, Emanuel Ungaro, Versace, Blumarine, Chloé, Christian Lacroix, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, John Galliano, Sonia Rykiel, Yohji Yamamoto, Hervé Léger, and Missoni. Tavares has helped promote brands like Versace, Chloé, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Mano, Nine West, Elite, Zoomp (Brazilian), and she was a top figure in the Ralph Lauren Spring 2000 collection, as well as the colorful Gap Jeans ads, also in the spring of 2000.
Tavares also works as a commercial advertising model and is a VJ for MTV Brasil, in which she hosts Missão MTV, a show modelled after Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Tavares has signed a $1.3 million deal with Guerlain, a perfume company, and she regularly models for lingerie company, Victoria's Secret. She has appeared in the famous Victoria's Secret 2000 Fashion Show in Cannes and anti-fur advertisements for animal rights group PETA. Tavares also enjoys swimming and jogging and she is good friends with fellow Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bündchen.

Stella Tennant
She was born in Scotland and she is the granddaughter of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and was a distant cousin of Diana, Princess of Wales.
It was her aqualine and aristocratic features, as well as her 6ft frame and quick witted manner that attracted the attention of photographers such as Steven Meisel and Bruce Weber. Tennant quickly rose to fame and posed for magazines such as French, British, and Italian Vogue as well as Harper's Bazaar and Numero.
Recently Tennant was chosen to walk for Chanel and has become the muse of Karl Lagerfeld. She has also walked for Yves Saint-Laurent and has appeared on countless advertising campaigns including, Calvin Klein, Hermès, and Burberry. She was chosen to front the Burberry ad campaign to revitalise the British firm and distance itself from the chav culture of which it is associated with.

Born February 9, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona, Amber is an American supermodel and actress.
She got her start in the fashion industry when her mother enrolled her in modeling school at the age of fifteen in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has since gone on to act in several films, been on the cover of magazines, been in advertisements for Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Versace and hosted MTV's House of Style with friend and fellow supermodel Shalom Harlow.

Gemma Ward
Born November 3, 1987. Ward was born in Perth, Western Australia. Ward was discovered in 2002 when she was in the Australian television show Search for a Supermodel. Although she did not make it past the early rounds, she was later signed by Vivien's Model Management based in Australia, and IMG in New York. She is a former student of Shenton College.
Ward was the youngest model chosen to be in a Vogue shoot of nine "It Girls" in the modeling world, which also included Daria Werbowy, Gisele Bündchen and Karolína Kurková. She has been in campaigns from Prada to Yves Saint-Laurent, and has been in shows for designers such as Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, and many more. She has also been on magazine covers such as Vogue and W. She is the first model since Kate Moss to be the face for Calvin Klein's perfume "Obsession Night for Men" along with Philadelphia male model, Drew Keilt. Recently, she was selected as the first model to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine.
Ward is now regarded as one of the world's most beautiful women by many fashion insiders, having been described at times to have an out-of-this-world look. British photographer Nick Wright said that, "Gemma is one of the very, very few models who look as though they come from another dimension." She currently lives in New York and is close friends with fellow models Lily Donaldson and Lily Cole.

Alek Wek
Born April 16, 1977, Alek is a Sudanese supermodel who appeared on the catwalks at the age of 18 in 1995. She is originally from the Dinka tribe in the Sudan, but her family fled to Britain to escape the civil war between the Muslim North and the Christian South of the Sudan.
She also designs a range of designer handbags, which are available throughout selected Selfridges department stores.
Alek was discovered at an outdoor market in London in 1995 in Crystal Palace, south London, by a models 1 scout. She first got attention with the help of the music video for GoldenEye by Tina Turner, in 1995 and from there made it into the world of fashion as one of its top models.
She is a member of the U.S. Committee for Refugees' Advisory Council, and is helping to raise awareness about the situation in Sudan, as well as the plight of refugees worldwide.
